Here for the Horse live auction on gavelhouse.com

The ‘Here for the Horse’ auction of unique items and experiences is nearly here, and it’s set to be a showstopper!

On September 9, an auction of unique experiences and covetable items will go live on gavelhouse.com, including tickets and hospitality for this year’s running of the A$6 million Cox Plate in Melbourne and Group 1-winning Cambridge Stud silks signed by champion Kiwi James McDonald and Chris Waller. There is also an ultimate racing experience for ten people on Champions Day 2026.

One of the showstopping items in the upcoming live auction

New Zealand proudly stands as the only racing nation in the world with a dedicated national horse ambulance service, comprising 10 state-of-the-art ambulances built in Otago, which serve 700 race meetings and equine events annually.

These aren’t just vehicles; they’re lifelines, equipped with hydraulic systems and features to keep injured horses safe and calm on their way to specialist care, providing them with the dignity and care they deserve.

As we gear up for the online auction, we invite you to follow us on social media for a few sneak peeks. Your support is crucial as we race to raise funds for the NZ Horse Ambulance Trust, a vital service for our equine community.

gavelhouse.com has generously waived the listing fees in support of the fundraising appeal.
